Stevie battles mental health daily but has found the strength to set up a peer led mental health and suicide support group called Take Ten in her hometown of Dewsbury. The drop-in group is open to anyone who is affected by mental health issues, suicide and bereavement. Stevie runs four sessions a week for adults and youths.

Stevie has talked people out of suicide across the country and is a voice for those who have lost theirs. She is a trained mental health first aider as well as having a degree in childhood studies and is a paediatric first aider. An unsung hero, she wants people to feel safe and supported during their times of struggles. Stevie plans to make the group bigger and better. Eventually, she wants Take Ten to be able to offer round-the-clock help and has recently launched a sister group Take ten juniors to help young people.
